This Sunday is Father’s Day and a lot of dads love meat that has been smoked or cooked over an open flame. And who can blame them? It’s delicious, primal, and satisfying.
This week for our Frugal Family Food YouTube collaboration, Shannahon from Nearly Organic Noshing, has made a feast fit for a king for Father’s Day, and every dish that graced her table came from her food storage. You have to see it to believe it!
From the side dishes to the main course, every component of this Father’s Day spread was stockpiled while on sale, or grown and preserved from Shannahon’s homestead.
Shannahon’s husband, Chris, even talks you through how he made their smoker he used while smoking the main dish. It truly is an awesome, frugal asset to their outdoor living space.
We hope that Shannahon’s meal helps you to see that you can even honor Fathers well on a budget.
About the Collaborator
Shannahon is the creator of Nearly Organic Noshing. On her channel you will find videos on Cooking, Canning, Food Preservation & Storage, Gardening, Frugal Living, Cleaning, Organization, Chickens, and an endless list of House & Homestead projects. Her family loves to play outdoors. They go boating, snorkeling, diving, fishing, camping, and spend as much time as possible at their off grid property in Central Florida, riding atv‘s and utv’s. Her “kids” are now 18 and 21, but still love to play in the mud, right along with their awesome dogs. Shannahon and her husband, Chris, will soon be empty nesters and look forward to sharing many new adventures with each other and you.
