Hello friends! We are in a new month of Frugal Family Food collabs and for the month of July we have asked our collaborators to share their favorite frugal meals with Backyard Barbecue in mind. I can’t speak for everyone, but our fallback for the grill is always hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken. We are looking forward to having some new, frugal ideas to share with all of you (and ourselves).
We love Todd and Rachel from That 1870s Homestead. We’ve been following them on Instagram forever and they started their YouTube channel recently. We got to meet them at the MIgardener Grand Opening, and my family (Tangi) was blessed enough to visit with them at their home and tour their beautiful farm!
Today they are sharing with us Rachel’s “favorite, favorite, F A V O R I T E” backyard barbecue entree, Smoked Chicken, using chicken they raised and harvested on their farm. The chicken ain’t all, y’all. They also have some fixin’s to share! Check them out and sub to their channel.
When you visit their channel be sure to let them know how much you appreciate their video.
Don’t forget to check out all of our other collaborators by watching our FFF playlist.
About the Collaborator
Todd and Rachel are putting the “Farm” back in Farmhouse, growing organic food and hoping to reduce the footprint they will leave behind. Pure Michigan!
