It’s Smoothie Saturday, and I am sharing with you all one of my favorite smoothie recipes. It has all of my favorite ingredients, and it’s vegan. The thing is, though, this recipe is versatile. You can totally make it in a non-vegan version. Is there something you don’t love? You can change it out. The recipe is forgiving. Give it a try.
Here is how I make my berry delicious smoothie:
Berry Delicious Smoothie
- 1 cup blueberries frozen or fresh
- 1 cup strawberries frozen or fresh
- 1 cup almond milk or other milk of your choice
- 1/2 cup fresh spinach
- 1/4 cup raw almonds or walnuts
- 1 tbsp flax seed can use hemp or chia seeds
- 1/5 block silken tofu or greek yogurt
- sweetener of choice as needed
Place all of the ingredients except the sweetener in the food processor and process until smooth, scraping down the sides halfway through processing. Test the mix to see if it is sweet enough for you. If not, add sweetener a tablespoon at a time and process to incorporate until you are happy with the taste.
